Officially the last day of summer!
The kids are gathering up their supplies together today; each in their respective back pack and messenger bag. Dillon is playing with Eddie, riding bikes all over town. Victoria has a 'meet & greet' at 3:30pm. This is something new; an hour scheduled for kids in the A Kiva to come bring their school supplies and meet there teacher. It was neat to see friends again and we were all sad that the summer was so busy and went by so quickly, that we didn't get together nearly enough. Appears most of the kinders are spread out between the 3 1/2 first grade classes. Victoria is in Mrs. Hutchings' 1st and 2nd grade split class. I sort of have mixed feelings about it. First of all, Mrs. Hutchings' is a new teacher at Sumpter and secondly, she's in a split class. I'm hoping that Mrs. Hutchings' turns out to be the best teacher ever and trust that Mrs. Beebe (Victoria's kinder teacher) put her where she felt best. It will be fine. It's only 1st grade, right?!?!? There is great anticipation and excitement in the air.
